Which DMZ guide applies? MW4 Hajin versus legacy Warzone DMZ

The words “DMZ guide” do not identify a game version. Check the title, map, and date before following a recipe, mission route, or progression recommendation. A correct older walkthrough can still answer the wrong question for your current deployment.

DMZ

Use MW4 sources for Hajin, its FOB, and MW4 progression. Older Al Mazrah, Ashika Island, Vondel, Koschei Complex, and Building 21 guides concern the earlier DMZ Beta unless their author explicitly verifies an MW4 application.

Start with the map and the game named in the source

The official October 2026 MW4 guides describe deployments into Hajin and a Forward Operating Base between runs. If those are the systems you have opened, use MW4 material for exact requirements. This site’s current DMZ preparation and Bounty articles concern that version.

For historical comparison, the November 30, 2023 official update lists Al Mazrah, Ashika Island, Koschei Complex, Building 21, and Vondel as DMZ Beta content. It described access through the Warzone section of COD HQ at that time. That historical statement does not verify today’s legacy server availability or launcher menu.

Match the guide to the decision you need to make

Before following exact steps, find an explicit game/version label and the map or menu the author uses. Then check that the shown objective text, recipe, or unlock screen matches yours. A familiar item name is a reason to inspect the requirement, not enough evidence to spend materials.

Broad habits can be useful across games: agreeing an objective, checking supplies, or reviewing a failed extraction. Exact ingredient counts, station unlocks, mission prerequisites, and route claims need current verification. Keep an older guide as background when the author does not establish that the sequence applies to MW4.

  • Hajin / MW4 FOB question: start with an MW4 source.
  • Older map or legacy mission: identify its original DMZ version first.
  • Unlabeled video: check the visible map, menus, and publication date.
  • Conflicting instructions: compare the live requirement with the newest relevant official source.

Separate account rewards from transferred progress

The October 19 progression guide gives MW4 DMZ a 70-level track. The October 9 FOB guide separately describes Prestige tied to an Active Duty Operator. A guide that says only “your level” or “Prestige” needs more context before you use it to make a reset decision.

There is a specific documented legacy reward connection: the October 19 guide lists calling cards and emblems for MWII DMZ Beta participation, 50 hours played, and unlocking Serpentine, using the same Activision Account. That limited list is not a statement that an old stash, mission completion, rank, or crafting recipe transfers to MW4. We have not verified those broader carryover claims.

Label your own saved plan by version

Name a deployment note with the game and map, then add the date you checked its requirements. If you reuse an old checklist, review every specific item rather than only changing the heading. Keep uncertain entries visible until you can inspect them in the current game.

The site’s deployment planner stores text and checklist choices that you enter. It does not detect your game, read your inventory, validate a mission, or transfer account progress. Add the version to your plan yourself, and return to the relevant official source when a saved instruction no longer matches the menu.

Sources & scope

Reviewed October 23, 2026 using official October 9 and October 19 MW4 material and the November 30, 2023 historical DMZ update. The older source identifies legacy content only; current legacy availability and general inventory, mission, or rank transfer were not verified.
